Heatherlie Cottages Halls Gap

Check-in was simple, with a message and all the details sent the day before. The cottage is tidy and had everything we needed for a long weekend. It's just outside town, away from the busy feel, but still walkable or a short drive to what we needed. The king bed was comfortable, and the sheets were so soft I need to find out where to buy them!

I loved all the paintings and pictures around the cottage, especially the one we took a rather poor photo of. You can tell a lot of care went into making this place feel homely. The cottage was cozy, the fireplace was great, and the spa was perfect. The bed and chairs were just the right size, and my partner, who booked it, and I felt comfortable and well accommodated. A shared outdoor fire pit might be a nice addition, though I know insurance can make that difficult. If you're deciding whether to stay, go for it and enjoy this magical part of the world. Please pick up your rubbish and encourage others to do the same.

The location is really nice, and I like the bathroom and laundry. But the front kitchen and lounge get cold because the gas fireplace gives off hardly any noticeable heat. The place is poorly designed for keeping warm, so using the TV and kitchen is uncomfortable. Warmer weather and summer would probably be a better time to stay. In reply to the response: some owners are dumb. The air conditioner is undersized for the room, as you would have been told. It warms the bed area nicely. My review said the front area was cold. You know as well as I do the gas heater at the front looks nice but is inefficient and barely puts out heat.

The cottages are self-contained, nicely furnished, and have comfortable beds and a cozy feel. The location is great, far enough out of sight but still not far from town, and the price was reasonable. The spa and shower are a good size, and there's a dryer too. Maybe complimentary breakfast or an optional dinner could be added.
