The shared bathrooms were clean and compact, and the kitchen had everything we needed. I loved the coops and the veggies growing out back. It’s a quiet little guest house, with a friendly, helpful host. The bedrooms are great for the price of 90 dollars a night, though that might vary. The Grampians National Park is barely an hour’s drive away, so I’d recommend staying here :)

The room was simple and small, but tasteful, with a firm, clean bed and plenty of pillows. There was a decent-sized fridge for the food we bought, although its compressor was a bit noisy. I fell asleep quickly, so it soon stopped mattering. There’s also a small in-room basin, but it only has cold water. Everything was immaculate, including the kitchen, bathroom and toilets. I hadn’t realised what kind of place it was, so I was surprised that the showers and toilets were at the far end of the hall. A pair of thongs and a short walk sorted that out, and the facilities were clean and smelled lovely. I had the place to myself and my travelling companion. From booking through departure, the managers gave us great service and checked that things were going well. There’s no room service, but if you’re on a strict budget, need communal living, or are travelling in a large group, it’s a good option. I’d highly recommend it if you can’t stay at a motel, for any reason.

The owners were polite and welcoming, and made us feel at home. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s a great place to stay with family or friends. The rooms were clean and good, and the bathrooms were well maintained. Coles and Safeway are just down the street, so you can pick up what you need and cook. A wonderful experience.

I booked only three hours ahead during low season, and when I arrived the friendly manager and I had the whole place to ourselves. It was impeccably clean and in great condition, even with no other guests around. The beds were comfortable and had electric blankets. There was a good kitchen for guests and clean showers.

Boomers Guest House would work really well for a family gathering. I spent two nights there recently: the room was clean and comfortable, the kitchen modern, and the dining room had a homely feel. George and Celia were lovely.
