Laguna on Hastings

For two nights, I was very disappointed with nearly everything apart from the location. The room was cramped and plain, with a bathroom I found unattractive. Its aircon was an outdated machine with such an unclear control panel that it was hard to operate. Even an extra clean towel came with a fee. The staff were the worst part for me, especially Toni, the manager, who I found extremely rude and senile. Soon after arriving, we went downstairs with a few questions, but reception was empty and a sign said to contact Toni. When I called, he sounded frustrated that I’d interrupted his lunch and was blunt and short-tempered on the phone. It put me off for the whole trip. When he came up to my room after lunch to finish dealing with my enquiry, I could sense his heavy energy from a mile away. Don’t stay here, folks. Noosa has much nicer places with better facilities, and I’m sure you won’t regret booking elsewhere even if it isn’t directly on hasting street.

We paid nearly $400 per night for two nights, and still have another night to go. Our bed is so uncomfortable, the ancient aircon sounds like a plane landing, and noise from pipes and people upstairs kept us awake. We were lucky to get three hours of sleep. I called accom Noosa to complain, but management wasn’t helpful and told us to go to Sebel reception about the guests above. Unit 312, do not recommend. At that price, I expected more.

The room was lovely and clean, and more than livable, though a little dated. There’s also a small gym to use. For the location, it was reasonably priced, and I’d stay again. Excellent location.

A month before our holiday, they cancelled the accommodation we’d booked. They didn’t suggest anywhere else we could stay, either. Their customer service was so unhelpful that our plans fell apart and we had to cancel the holiday. Really disappointing.
