Motel Sunshine Coast

The shared kitchen was a real help, with complimentary bits and pieces that made cooking easy and enjoyable. Everything else was clean, comfortable, and well cared for too, with attention to the little details. I stayed over New Year and had no complaints. The team were lovely, and you can tell they take pride in their work. This is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed on the Sunshine Coast. I’d happily recommend it and stay again. Cheers

I’d stayed here a couple of times, but my last visit was disappointing. They did room checks without telling anyone beforehand. There was a quick knock, then they let themselves in two seconds later if you weren’t at the door. I could have been naked. They also said they’d hold the room for another night if I wanted to extend. I called to confirm and got no answer, and meanwhile they sold it to someone else. I’ve spent a fair bit of money here, and that treatment wasn’t okay. Your reply to my review isn’t true. I didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe my visitors did, since you dealt with them, but the offer to extend my stay was still made. At the time, your manager said it was because school holidays were starting. If I’m such a bad guest, you’d need to kick out half the people staying there. The room check process needs a review so guests’ privacy is protected, and managers should make a more informed decision before kicking people out. A bit of honesty wouldn’t hurt either.

The rooms are small, but just as advertised, clean, with good AC and a large window. There were a few marks on the bedding that looked like ink. The bathrooms were clean, and the shower was hot with good pressure. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, a large TV and a pool table. The kitchen was clean and not busy, with laundry available too. There was free breakfast stuff, like cereal, plus donated items such as bread and jam. Check-in was easy even late at night. It’s close to Coles, Woolworths and local buses. A nice hostel/motel, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to stay on the south Sunshine Coast.

It’s clean and kept in good condition, but the rooms are extremely small for the price, especially since we’ve paid the same for self-contained rooms or units elsewhere. There aren’t many parking spaces for the number of rooms, so expect to park on the street. Quiet hours run from 9pm to 8am.
