Cobb Inlander Motel

The pool was filthy, and when we complained they said every pool in Hay was filthy. That was obviously untrue. We booked up the road instead and found a clean, fresh pool, thanks to highway inn!! The customer service here was the worst I’ve come across in my 33 years. I booked through Booking.com, but a man said their system showed I’d booked a queen room instead of a double. He banged on the screen and shouted at me, even though I had photos of my booking. Booking.com told me to contact the motel about a refund, and the motel told me to contact Booking.com. Now I’m stuck trying to get my money back and expecting more verbal abuse from this terrible place.

I’ve stayed here about ten times and have always been welcomed. The place is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the bathrooms have been renovated. Staff give good advice, too. For what you get, the price is very reasonable. I think it’s the best place to stay in Hay, and I highly recommend it.

The pool was very clean, and my room was comfortable and tidy. I visited this lovely motel with family and friends, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay. I’d definitely return and recommend it.

Our car broke down just outside Hay, so we ended up staying six nights instead of one. The owners and staff checked in on us and helped far more than we expected. People around town supported us too, and we feel very lucky to have had everyone’s help getting back on the road with our travels. The generosity and compassion we were shown were unbelievable. I’d definitely recommend stopping in and experiencing that kindness.
