The bedroom was very clean, and the linen and bathroom were impeccable. But we arrived to find the room as cold as outside. There was a tiny fan heater plugged in and sitting on the table, and they knew the split system wasn’t adequate. It took three hours to warm up. If you go to the bathroom, put your jacket back on, as there’s no heater or heat lamp in there. Probably best enjoyed in summer.

We loved our stay in the Elm Studio. It was a great size for two and really comfortable, with a modern feel and everything we needed. The place was spotless, and we could walk to Hepburn Springs Bathhouse or drive to the Daylesford shops in about five minutes. Awesome stay!

I’m a healthcare worker hoping for a little relief from the daily pressure of work, and this has caused me so much stress in my free time. I’m no longer comfortable going ahead with my reservation, but Alice has repeatedly ignored my requests for a refund. I’ve asked the Ombudsman and my bank to mediate because I don’t see another way to get this business to be truthful with its customers.

The room was poor quality, tired, and smelled awful. We checked in at 3:30 pm and spent half an hour airing it out to try to clear the overpowering cheap air freshener smell. In the five hours after that, we called management four times and got no response, though they said they’d be in touch soon. Reassuring, isn’t it? We asked Qantas to move us elsewhere, but its low rate policy was a problem: it showed $300-plus a night while three other online sites listed the same room for $190-250. Qantas is a joke. I can’t wait to talk to the clowns managing this room.
