Fiori Apartments

We were happy with the great location for what we needed, and the staff were friendly. But the rooms need some care. The pillows were thinner than a piece of paper, the walls hadn't been painted, and the whole block smelled funky. The kitchenette had just one coffee cup, two knives and one spoon, with no forks.

The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful. He called me back twice when our call dropped while I was trying to work out how to reach reception and my parking spot, and helped with other logistics too. The bed was okay, and the aircon worked well, which was a relief. The room itself was rough. It smelled strongly of curry, the old hair dryer smelled like it was burning, and the shower doors barely worked. One fell off and got stuck, so I had to squeeze my way out. The blinds were dirty and discoloured, and the door lock was unreliable. After dinner I spent a while trying to get back into my room. The Booking.com pictures are misleading.

I paid $170 for one night, and honestly it wasn't worth it. The room was dark and cold, the heater didn't work, and there was no view, just another large building right outside the old curtains, so there wasn't much privacy either. The Google photos are absolutely deceiving. The place is really run down, with old cabinets, dirty walls and peeling colour. The shower, bathroom, floors and walls all need attention and renovation. There were old tiles throughout and no carpet. It smelled, and I even saw a cockroach in the kitchen. The owner needs to show these rooms some care.

Horrible place. The lifts were broken, and one even stopped working while I was in it. As soon as I walked in, the curry smell hit me, and there were some kind of stinky stains everywhere. The pull-out mattress had been nailed down, so I couldn't use it.
