We booked a three-bedroom apartment with a pool view, on the second floor. Higher floors also have a sea view. The apartment was spacious enough and had everything we needed. The pool and whirlpool were clean, with several loungers available. Reception gave us a very friendly welcome, and since our car was a little larger, they kindly let us use the owner's parking space. Thanks again! Akama Resort made a great base for our three nights in Hervey Bay: the harbor is only a five-minute walk for whale watching, and a small beach is just a few minutes away.

We’ve tried both the two- and three-bedroom apartments and loved our stays in each. They’re comfortable, clean and spacious, in a really convenient spot. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. The apartments have kitchen essentials, a smart TV, great air con and lovely toiletries, and the higher floors have a fabulous view. We’ll definitely be back.

The view is stunning from sunrise to sunset, and the marina is only a few blocks away, which makes this a great spot if you’re taking the cruise. Parking is a little tight, but manageable.

We had a perfect three-night stay at this absolutely beautiful place. The only little downside was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy. The ladies were so lovely, which you don’t come across often, so we’ll be back 🤗
