Hervey Bay Hotel & Resort

I'm absolutely disgusted by how the younger red-haired woman treated me and my Aboriginal girlfriend tonight. She asked for our IDs, which was perfectly fine, then said she couldn't really tell whether my girlfriend was really her because they all looked the same. I asked, “Who's them?” and she said, “the colored ones.” What absolute filth. I come in regularly for a meal and a drink and to play the pokies, and I've always loved the atmosphere, especially with the newer staff who started in the last few months. They've been friendly, smiling, and have got to know us as humans. This is unacceptable. This young woman shouldn't be in hospitality.

We had dinner and drinks at the pub one night during our hotel stay. The food was really good and well priced, and our family had a ball. Service was phenomenal from the young woman behind the sports bar, who reacted quickly to serve customers. Would highly recommend.

The fried rice is delicious, and the beef stir fry I had tonight was great too. We've eaten here a few times and have always been pleased with the food. It's a lovely spot for a Sunday sesh with great views. The interior is a bit dated, and during the week the atmosphere can feel a little dull, but otherwise it's a great place.

The building is in dismal condition and needs an upgrade. Still, it was a comfortable, affordable overnight stop while passing through, with very attentive staff. The pool was clean, and the pub right next door had delicious food. The bay is directly opposite, along the coastline.
