The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed dinner at The Shed. My partner and I had the lamb shank and schnitzel, both tender and full of flavour, easily better than pub food. The owners, staff and locals were all so kind and welcoming. We’d seen some old negative reviews about the accommodation and food, so we arrived a little unsure, but the value was fantastic and the stay was far better than we expected. A real hidden gem in Hill End. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks, guys!

We spent four nights here in February in a self-contained cabin. The town centre was an easy 1.5 km walk away, and the shower was good. The air conditioning worked well too. The restaurant was open in the evenings, though we chose to eat with friends who were camping or at the Micro Pub.

The owner and staff made us feel so welcome, and the restaurant food was divine. Our room was neat and clean. We also got plenty of entertainment from the resident rooster, hen and goose, along with kangaroos and king parrots stopping by for food. Lovely country hospitality. We’ll definitely return!

Kangaroos wander around nearby, so you can see them up close, and the resident rooster may be your morning alarm. There’s a restaurant and cafe on site with a modest complimentary breakfast and simple dinners. Our room was clean, tidy and spacious. The rooms are a little old, but that’s the only drawback, everything else was perfect. We’d stay here again when we’re in town.

We slept well, and continental breakfast was included in the very reasonable price. It’s such a peaceful spot, and the people running it were gorgeous and easygoing. We loved having kangaroos visit, along with the chooks and geese. The area is lovely too. Thanks for having us, we’ll be back.
