Our apartment at The Rox was so quiet and easy to darken, and those were the comfiest beds I've ever had in a hotel or Airbnb. The soft bedding and proper quilts with covers made a big difference. We all slept really well. Mary was lovely, kind and helpful, and clearly wanted us to feel relaxed. The beautifully restored apartment had thoughtful vintage details, and the location was great. We could walk to many of Hobart's best cafes, restaurants and bars in 5-10 minutes, and the MONA ferry was an easy 15-20 minute walk with the kids. We loved Sonny, Mountain Culture, Templo, our favourite meal in Tasmania, and Villino for coffee. As foodies, we liked Farm Gate Market around the corner more than Salamanca. We only wish the restaurant behind Lexus had been open during our stay. After five nights, though, we felt a little closed in, even with plenty of day trips. We're from Queensland and are used to open spaces and lots of sun, so next time we'd probably book fewer nights. Thanks Mary and team for a great Hobart stay!

Mary was very responsive, and The Rox is an outstanding place to stay, with everything we needed, including a dedicated parking bay. We spent five nights in the Elizabeth apartment in August 2024. It was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, with Hobart's main spots an easy walk away. Mary and her team have created a wonderful space.

Mary was a delight to deal with, and the property has thoughtful little inclusions. It's stunning, just a few blocks' walk from central Hobart. Highly recommend.

Apartment 5 worked perfectly for the four of us, two couples. It has all the comforts you need, and the furnishings are lovely. The location made it easy to walk down to the water and other places, with good bars and restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful stay at The Rox and hope to return on our next Hobart trip.

The Penthouse has a huge balcony set up for entertaining, a really distinctive space. Inside, the furnishings are top quality and beautifully chosen. It's right in the heart of Hobart, making it a great option for a small group wanting to experience the best Tasmania has to offer. Mary and the team were a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. Amazing place to stay in Hobart, highly recommend.
