Shamrock Apartments

We stayed in room 10, and the place needs serious updating. The rooms are cramped, with small beds all in one room, and everything felt poorly maintained. The kitchen was dirty, the floors hadn’t been looked after, and nothing seemed to have been cleaned properly. The TV and radio didn’t work either. There weren’t enough sheets, so we were expected to make the beds ourselves. We also had to leave $2000 worth of snow gear outside, then walk barefoot around the rooms and stairways. It wasn’t what had been advertised or promised, and the effort and atmosphere were poor. You can get much better accommodation around the area.

The location is good, with easy access to the general store, ski hire and one of the ski lifts. The apartment we got was a bit older, and the equipment worked but was outdated. Getting luggage inside is awkward because you can’t bring your car close to the complex. There’s no parking at the property either, so you have to move the car to the overnight lot and catch a bus back.

The managers were very welcoming and helpful, and I liked the location. But our bedding, lounges and carpet in Shamrock apartment 5 were filthy, and it didn’t seem to have been cleaned before check-in. There was hair in the beds, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, and the lounge was heavily stained. I felt dirty staying there.

The beds up in the loft were okay, and the compact shower and toilet worked fine. The living, dining and kitchen area was very cosy, with beautiful views. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was a good place for a ski trip, and the staff were really friendly and ready to help. 😊⛷🏂
