Oceana B&B

We were so glad our friends suggested Oceana B&B for our Tasmania trip. We stayed five nights in early April 2023, and Michael and Di were gracious hosts throughout. Their guest room had all the usual things, plus thoughtful extras like a picnic basket with dishes and cutlery, ice packs in the freezer, a picnic blanket, and beach towels. The breakfasts Michael made each morning were delicious and beautifully presented. The house signature poached pears were exquisite, and the care he put into serving different food each day felt five star worthy. Michael and Di also know a lot about things to see and do across Tasmania, not just around Hobart. They can book tours, organise rental cars, and suggest restaurants. We can’t say enough good things about them and Oceana B&B. Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

This was a wonderful base for our time in Hobart, and I highly recommend staying here. The breakfasts were amazing and changed every day, and the tasting plate and wine were a lovely touch. Their suggestions for things to do and places to eat were spot on. Michael and Di made everything feel personal. They paid incredible attention to detail and nothing seemed like a hassle as they helped make our stay memorable. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the sad moment we had to leave, this was the best B&B we’ve stayed in. Thank you, Michael and Di, for making our holiday even more wonderful!

The room was exceptionally clean, had a great view, and came with everything we needed. We could also ask for extra supplies. Breakfast and snacks were fantastic, with lots of variety. It felt like a professional hotel, but with a personal touch. You can see how much thought and care Michael and Di put into making guests’ stays special. I understand why they won the Tasmanian award. Our stay was lovely and memorable.

The view from the beautiful room was incredible, and Michael and Di were such friendly, helpful hosts, with great advice. They’ve thought of everything to keep guests comfortable, and go above and beyond. Add the premium hotel quality amenities and delicious breakfasts, and this is a must stay. We’ll definitely be back.
