The location is excellent, and there’s plenty of space in the rooms. They’re a little dated, though, and could use a proper deep clean and pest treatment. The bed dips a bit when you sit on it, but it’s still comfortable. There’s no microwave or sink. On the plus side, the Irish pub has nice meals and good outdoor seating.

For larger groups, booking ahead is a good idea. There’s lots of outdoor space to hang out over drinks and food, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The pork belly starter was a standout, and both the chips and gravy were excellent. The gravy was especially well made. This is the social restaurant and hotel in Hunter Valley.

There’s ample parking, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place has a great atmosphere, with plenty of space to eat or have a casual drink. Gaming is to the left, the drinks bar is straight ahead, and the kitchen and dining area are on the right. On my last visit, I stayed two nights and was happy with the bedding and bathroom, plus the vineyard views from the terrace. I’m an interstate guest and will be back to stay. Cheers, Dan

There’s a good selection of beers, including Kilkenny. It’s pricey since it’s imported, but like mother’s milk. The Beef and Guinness Pie was the menu pick, and there are weekday specials too. Bar service was great, and the food was pretty good for such a big, busy place. Staff were friendly, though busy, and cleared the tables quickly. You can dine inside or outside. I’d suggest sitting inside on a hot day. Access is fair for people with mobility issues.

We often find Harrigan’s busy, so we highly recommend booking a table in advance. At peak times, service may take a little while, but the food is quite good and worth waiting for. There’s a good variety of dishes, with simple but tasty food. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help, which makes the place feel welcoming. It’s our go-to pub in the Hunter Valley.
