The owners gave us great suggestions for places to eat and were easy to communicate with. We stayed three nights and still didn’t want to leave. They’ve turned an apple shed into a really comfortable apartment, with a kitchen stocked with all the utensils you’d need to cook. The coffee machine was my favourite part. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large, with a spacious shower. We visited in midwinter when nights got down to zero, but the wood heater in the middle of the room kept us warm. We’d love to stay here again next time we’re in Huon Valley.

The big.shed.house was very well priced and made a great base for exploring places south of Hobart. The building is beautifully designed, with lots of unique touches. Ron and Yvonne were friendly, easy to reach, and happy to answer questions or help out. We’d recommend staying at the big.shed. house.

We slept better than we have in ages, and didn’t want to leave. The Big Shed House was cosy, and the hosts were so accommodating. The layout worked really well, especially the fireplace that rotates. Thanks, Ron and Yvonne!

That bath and bathroom are just perfect, and the fireplace between the bathroom and bedroom warmed the whole place almost straight away. The Big Shed House is laid out so comfortably, with lovely attention to detail throughout. Ron and Yvonne were really helpful too. It was an ideal one-night escape from the city, and we’ll definitely be back.

Ron made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and he and Yvonne were wonderful hosts. This little architectural gem sits on a hillside among beautiful gum trees, just a short distance from downtown Huonville. As first-time visitors to Tassie, we’d been looking forward to the Shed, and it exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is first class, with quality fixtures, fittings, and furniture, thoughtful design and personal touches, plus a fabulous fireplace that kept the open-plan living and dining area very warm and comfortable. We only wish we’d stayed longer, and can’t wait to return.
