Novotel Melbourne Airport

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. When they had to change our room/booking, they gave us a free buffet breakfast pass. The location worked well for us, and we'd stay again if we had another early flight.

The airport shuttle was convenient, reliable, and well organised, which made a difference travelling as a couple. We also had excellent in-room dining, with quality meals delivered promptly. Our room at Novotel Melbourne Airport was modern, comfortable, and very well presented. We were grateful for the complimentary upgrade, and check-in and checkout were both smooth and efficient. The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout. We were thoroughly impressed and would happily recommend the hotel and stay again.

The room was fine, and the bar was okay, though it had a bit of a cafeteria feel. Gold members may not get a welcome drink, and check-in is with everyone else. I booked because I thought I could walk to my 6am Virgin domestic flight. At 4:30am, I checked out and asked the desk staff to confirm the route. They said my flight was in Terminal 1, four terminals away, and that I'd need to wait around 15 minutes for the shuttle. Following that advice would have made me miss my flight. Instead, I walked with my three roller bags. A pilot coming the other way confirmed the terminal was the second one along, a flat 6-7 minute walk. It would've been quicker without the bags, of course. Very poor service for airport hotel staff not to know which terminals serve which airlines and flights.

The location made it easy to get around and reach nearby attractions, and the staff were friendly and happy to help. My room was clean and well maintained, while the facilities had what I needed for a convenient, relaxing visit. It was an enjoyable stay, and I'd be glad to come back.
