Wellshot Hotel

The staff were great, and the locals were friendly and happy to share the area's history. There was plenty to look at inside, including hats from locals on the wall. You can try sticking a $1 coin to the ceiling with a pin, and if you catch it, you get a free beer. The food arrived quickly and was good. The Wellshot was an awesome pub, definitely worth a stop on your travels. Sorry for the mix-up!

We stayed out the back of the Ilfracombe Wellshot pub, far enough from the bustle of Longreach to make it a great location. The facilities were immaculate, with a bit of quirkiness and old-school charm. It had a classic country feel throughout, and the staff were excellent, friendly, and very helpful. Many thanks, I'd happily stay again and would highly recommend it.

We only planned to stop for a coffee, then ended up staying four nights. The caravan area out the back worked well, with an easy trip into Longreach for attractions. The machinery mile and museum exhibits are just across the road, and there's room to walk to the town pool and spa. That place is a bit run down, but clean and refreshing. The staff were great and friendly, with a real small-town feel. Meals were good too. Steak can sometimes be hit and miss, but the black Angus 250g steak was cooked perfectly, so I ordered it again the next night and it was just as good.

We pulled up in our caravan with our two little boys, and they had a blast. There was space to explore, and the park and pool are down the road. The staff were lovely and really friendly. We thought it was great and would recommend it.
