The park is a pleasant, tidy place at Iluka’s northern end, just across the road from the Clarence River. The sites are a good size, and there’s a large unpowered area on the north side. The toilets have been updated and are clean. The staff were great. Nothing especially stands out, but I’d definitely stay again.

We had everything we needed for two nights in the Bandicoot cabin. It’s a lovely little place for two, and the park and surrounding area are so peaceful. There are plenty of spots nearby for swimming, fishing or just relaxing at the beach. If we’re in the area again, we’ll come back.

We were travelling in a caravan and found this a great spot, very close to the Clarence River. The staff were friendly when we arrived, and were accommodating when we needed to change our dates. Definitely worth the detour from the main highway.

The pool and spa were okay, but the rest of the park looked dated and was very untidy. Don’t trust the photos on the website, it doesn’t look like them. Watch out for the ‘human BBQ’ near the amenities block, an aluminium top on the septic tank. There also seem to be a lot of green ants, so make sure the kids wear shoes.

It’s a quiet spot by the Clarence River, just across the road from the park, so bring your fishing gear or boat. Iluka itself is pretty small. Yamba is across the river, about a 45-minute drive away, and has plenty of shops and cafes.
