Dinner in the bistro was kangaroo, cooked perfectly, and it was the nicest kangaroo dish I've ever tasted. The rooms are lovely and comfortable too. I liked the dark grey face washer embroidered with “makeup remover”, such a good idea. The owner, Bronwyn, is lovely, friendly and helpful, as are all the staff.

There are lots of playgrounds nearby for the kids, which made the location nice. If you're travelling with children and find that many B&Bs don't welcome them, through higher prices or extra charges, this is probably a good place to come. The nicest little thing happened when I went to do laundry: a very kind staff member gave me tokens for the machine and some detergent. It was at 21:30 on 15 December. It may not have cost much, but small gestures like that make people happy.

We could quickly walk to the beach or into town for restaurants and shopping. The staff were warm and welcoming at check-in, and helped us find a room that suited our needs. The beds were really comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and renovated. We had a fantastic stay.

We had a clean, comfortable two-bedroom apartment with a bit of extra space, and the location was the best part. Shops, the beach and Lake Pertobe were all a short walk away. In summer, there's a night market at Lake Pertobe every Saturday, with plenty of food, drinks and music, so definitely check that out. We had a fantastic few days in Warrnambool, starting with a really friendly and efficient welcome at reception.

Work trips here are always a great experience. Raj and the staff are awesome and welcoming, the food is delicious, and the banter at the bar is the cherry on top. 👌
