The experience itself was really good, and the staff knew their stuff. The accommodation was great too. I just wish we'd been told more clearly how remote it is, with no power and only limited mobile service. Still, it was a great trip.

Shemaya was so patient and friendly as our guide, and seemed to enjoy being out in the woods as much as we did. I rode Tin Mine, while my more experienced partner rode Spirit. They both suited our abilities and had fun personalities. We chose the two hour ride, which was plenty for me. At that gentle pace I think I'd have been sore as hell if we'd gone much longer. I felt safe the whole time, but it still felt like a proper wilderness ride, not a roller coaster. I'm a total beginner and my partner rides regularly, and we both had a great time. The setting had a peaceful feel, with just the right amount of ruggedness. Just don't mistake it for your own rodeo, or an outing for poodle pampered Arc'teryx wearing city moms. I can imagine larger groups might not get as much attention for their needs, though I suppose that could happen anywhere. Highly recommend.

We didn't stay overnight, just came for a ride, but the accommodation looked nice from what I saw. The horses were great, our guide was friendly, and the scenery was lovely. We did two hours and felt it was worth the money. There were plenty of hills, paddocks and bush, with turns and logs and branches to work around. That kept things interesting, and people who wanted to got a couple of trots in. I'd definitely come back.

Dot was a lovely guide and teacher, friendly, helpful and respectful throughout. I enjoyed the ride itself, but Justin's treatment of the riders really took away from the day, so I wouldn't recommend it to others. We'd been looking forward to our full day ride. Delia greeted us pleasantly, then we met Justin and Dot. As we were introduced to our horses, Justin belittled and ridiculed each rider for not understanding or following his instructions correctly. I don't know why he showed so little respect to me or the others, since everyone was well mannered and respectful. It made for an unpleasant start and carried on during the ride. Thank you for your reply, Justin. Vaughan and I completely agree that safety comes first, but there are more professional and courteous ways to explain things to riders. The one star reflects Justin's behaviour, which is a shame.

The property, accommodation and horses were all wonderful. Samiya and Delia were lovely too, and the ride itself was great. We appreciated being separated at the end so we could have a canter. Justin, the owner, was our guide and made everyone uncomfortable with his rudeness and belittling manner. His customer service was like a wet fish. The ride was also interrupted by stops where we sat in the blazing sun. I understand the horses need rests, but stopping in the shade would have helped. With a different guide, the whole experience could have been wonderful.
