Jenny, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and showed us around Turret House, including its history and the turret. The house was absolutely gorgeous. Our basement room had been renovated beautifully and had a modern en suite bathroom. We also had a continental breakfast in the room, with fresh local produce and products. Cataract Gorge and downtown Launceston are both a short walk away, so it’s very central. We’d wholeheartedly recommend it.

Jenny was a lovely host and told us about the local attractions. Turret House is a real gem, easy to find and with excellent walks right on the doorstep. You can walk to Cataract George, though we also drove there. It’s a must-do place, and the cable car ride is well worth it. We were completely happy with our stay, thank you, Jenny!

A car makes it easy to reach nearby attractions and take highway trips to wineries. It’s also close enough to town for a quick ride to a restaurant. We enjoyed the walk across the bridge and the good view.

The historic house was kept beautifully warm, with central heating and underfloor heating in the bathroom. A continental breakfast was included and could be enjoyed in the room. Friendly host.

Turret House was a lovely, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Although it’s on a main road, it was still nice and quiet. I thoroughly recommend it.
