The owners were so understanding and helpful with my mum’s mobility needs, and did everything they could to make us comfortable. It’s a great budget option: clean, roomy living areas, comfortable bedrooms and sturdy brick walls. It’s practical rather than fancy, with cooking and laundry facilities and tourist information. Local shops are an easy walk or drive away, and there’s a nearby reserve for a jog or a safe place for kids to play.

I tried booking Aberdeen Court around 18 months ago and found out it had closed as a motel. It was a shame, because back in its day it was clean, comfortable, fairly cheap and close to everything. The older woman who ran it could be a bit of an Esme Watson, though.

The reception staff were really sweet, and the beds were comfortable. I stayed here for a night with friends while we were in Launceston. The house was well maintained and had the essentials, so I thought it was worth the price. Just keep in mind that check-in is only available until 9pm.

The other guests stayed quiet, even during the busy New Year events. Service was friendly, and the room was adequate. The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable, and there were enough cooking supplies if I needed to make something.

The staff were amazing and even helped us arrange somewhere to stay for our return visit. We’d booked at the last minute because we had to fly in for a family emergency, and they were incredibly helpful when things were already hard. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the shower pressure was perfect. Thank you to all the staff 🥰🥰
