Mowbray Hotel

The staff at Mowbray pub are lovely and the service was great. The bar team keep the place clean and welcoming, and the bistro staff put plenty of effort into making sure everyone is happy with their meals. I’d happily recommend going there for a good meal and friendly service.

The Maryland Chicken and veggies were cooked just right. Chelsea served me with a warm smile and was friendly and very efficient. It was my first visit, and I’ll be back. Hats off to the chef.

The rooms were small but okay. The men’s facilities in the hotel section were in very poor shape: blocked drains caused smells, the showers had no doors, and hot water took about ten minutes. Bring thongs for the showers and expect only the basics. I was also rudely hassled out of the Bistro at 8:15, even though the sign said it was open. I’d planned to use the drink vouchers there, but didn’t want to deal with the staff. I wouldn’t stay overnight.

I felt really uncomfortable because Megan was the rudest worker I’ve ever met. Then I saw her drinking and smoking at work in her uniform in the sports bar, which seemed so unprofessional. I won’t be back.
