A relaxed, older sort of pub compared with the other one further down the road. The staff and customers were friendly, with lots of hi-vis workers around having a beer. When I visited, a bikini girl was selling raffle tickets and bringing drinks, which you don't see at many places now. There's a tiny pokie room and some tables and chairs out on the footpath.

The pool table was a nice bonus, and the restaurant at the Kerwick Hotel felt like a cute, inviting place to unwind. I missed the live music this time, but would like to come back and catch it.

The food here is really good, and I enjoy visiting the venue. The karaoke rotation is frustrating, though. People who arrive early can end up waiting ages while late arrivals and the host's favourites get their songs first, leaving early guests near the bottom of the list and with only a couple of turns. I'd also prefer not to see so much of the topless raffle girls' boobs while arriving or walking through the venue. Having them selling tickets inside and outside feels tacky, distasteful and offensive.

A laid-back pub where you can have a cold beer and a roast dinner, with live music and workers sharing a laugh over a drink in the public bar. The Friday night raffles and fair prices are part of the appeal. It's standard Australian pub counter food at pub prices, nothing fancy, but the $15 roast is good value. Worth stopping in and supporting these pubs.

A cheap hotel, so don't expect more than a bed. It's a shame they don't put more effort into cleaning and upkeep. The fan didn't work, and the fridge in the shared area was disgusting.
