I've stayed twice and can definitely recommend it. The value is great, and having a numbered parking spot right by the door is handy. Your bay matches your room number, so no one takes it while you're out at dinner. The rooms are clean and spacious, with plenty of bench space, two roomy bedside tables and empty drawers under the main bench. Just remember to check the drawers when you leave. The fridge is larger than I'd expect even in a five-star place and has a freezer compartment. There's also a cupboard with a jug, toaster, tea and coffee supplies. I asked for a microwave on my first visit, and basic toiletries are provided. Both times, the shower was hot and powerful, and the place felt really clean. The split system air conditioner is essential in Ipswich, in summer and winter. I travelled alone both times and didn't use the pool or coin laundry, but they could suit families. There's also a 7-11 nearby, open 24 hours. I appreciated having a proper key on a ring instead of a swipe card that might not work.

I stayed for two nights with my two kids as a single parent, while we were in town for a netball carnival. I wouldn't recommend this place to a single mum or anyone. It was overpriced and uncomfortable, with no microwave or cutlery. The walls are paper thin, so you can clearly hear other guests, and cigarette smoke came into the rooms at night even with the windows shut.

The decor is dated, but this isn't being sold as a five-star hotel. My room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and I was very happy with it. There was a fridge and kettle, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The manager was more than willing to accommodate my requests if I asked. I enjoyed my stay.

The place is a little outdated, but it did the job, and you get what you pay for. My partner and I had no complaints. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was amazing, and the pool out back was clean with nice seating in the sun. The staff were lovely. CSI tavern down the road had great food, and being close to the plaza was a big help. I'd highly recommend it.

It's run down, but close to Jets club. There was no microwave, no hot water at the bathroom basin, and the bathroom door wouldn't slide.
