The location made it easy to get to the shops and Perisher for skiing. After a day on the slopes, the small rooms had all we needed and were nice and clean. Breakfast was cooked to order, and they were careful about COVID precautions. There was also a cozy fireplace, couch, and TV for relaxing in the evening. The red-haired server at breakfast was lovely.

The price was cheap, so I suppose you get what you pay for, but I’d rather spend a bit more for a decent room and ensuite than the shabby one we had at Sonnblick Lodge. The host, Pom, was a nice bloke, though he needs to spend less time playing golf and more time maintaining the place. The back staircase rails and some treads need urgent attention before someone falls through and gets badly hurt or killed. I’d also like the rooms to be cleaned better.

Bec and Cam are excellent hosts and put on an amazing breakfast. We’ve stayed several times this year, and every visit has been impeccable. The rooms and shared spaces are tidy and have that home away from home feel. Parking has never been a problem, and the location is great. It’s our first choice for Jindabyne accommodation.

Pom is quite a character and was very accommodating. We really enjoyed our two nights at sonnblick lodge, which has a relaxed, cozy feel. Room 8 had an amazingly comfortable mattress. Breakfast was well catered, with fruit and yoghurt at the continental spread, then a home cooked breakfast with a good range of options on the second morning.

Brian greeted us every day and was always around to answer questions. The lodge is a great choice if you’re spending your days on the mountain, with a good breakfast in the morning and rooms that have what you need: a bed, bathroom, heater, and TV. It’s not a 5 star hotel, but there’s not much point in that when you won’t spend much time in the room anyway. Shops and restaurants are an easy 5-10 minute walk away. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.
