Claire and David took the time to hear what sort of activities we were after, then offered plenty of useful driving, hiking and other recommendations for us and the other guests. They were also easy to talk to and thoughtful hosts throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was exceptional: fresh bread, eggs, cheese, meats, avocado, berries, nuts, muesli, fruit, jams and honey, plus coffee made to order. In the dining room there were also coffee, tea and snacks, along with kettles, a microwave and fridges guests could use. Being able to store lunches and snacks and heat soup for dinner helped us save money. It’s an adults-only lodge with a European feel, around 10 rooms across three floors, and roomy dining and lounge areas. Every room was clean. For me, this was one of the best lodge, Airbnb or hotel stays I've had in Australia. We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon.

The room was wonderful, and the hosts' company made the stay even nicer. David and Claire were gracious and welcoming, and David's morning coffee was a treat. Breakfast was very good too. You can sit outside and take in the lovely view over Lake Jindabyne. If you're heading to Jindabyne or the Snowy Mountains, it's sensible to sort out a place to stay ahead of time. We had a beautiful experience here.

We stayed in the smallest double/queen room. It was small but fine for a couple for a few nights, unless you bring all your belongings and the kitchen sink. There wasn't a view from our room, though we enjoyed the scenery around town. The property has lovely lake views from the mid-level dining and lounge room and the upstairs lounge, and a lake-view room would be a nice upgrade. There are books and games around if you feel like staying in. The shops, eateries and services are a short walk downhill, so you can get around without a car. Breakfast had plenty of options for a filling start, and the coffee was good. The buffet and lake scenery were great, but the hosts were the real highlight: friendly, thoughtful, sociable and good-humoured. This was our first visit and well worth it. We'd definitely come back.

David and Claire are such warm hosts, and their coffee is the best in town. Breakfast is filling too. With cosy shared spaces, lovely rooms and scenic views, this is my usual choice in Jindy and a great base for enjoying the Snowies.

The couple running this place were incredibly welcoming, and breakfast was a cute touch. They'll make you a proper coffee, too. It has a homey feel, and we'll definitely be back. We walked to the pub and brewery, and the main areas were a good distance away. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. There are board games, a pool table, a garden out back to relax in, and an upstairs lounge overlooking the lake. The bedrooms also have Smart TVs.
