We spent five nights in the cabin and loved the semi-outdoor shower, which felt very private, followed by warming up by the wood fire. It was a pleasure to stay in, with all the amenities we could want. The build and fit-out are really well done. The kitchen is on the outside deck, with amazing mountain and forest views, so even a meal or just sitting and watching the birds felt like an occasion. There was abundant birdlife and several good walking tracks on the property, which kept us busy exploring every day and taking photos of the birds. We had overnight rain and a few showers during the day, but still found plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the natural beauty. As soon as we drove in, we felt this would be a special place to continue exploring the surrounding area. We'll definitely come back when we can.

Those three nights were so peaceful, with lots of privacy. Platypus hut was lovely for an afternoon swim in the rockpools, and we've come away with a new interest in bird-watching. Glen and Wendy, thanks, we'll be back soon. Sweetwater Lodge has a lovely mix of comfort and simplicity, set among the Australian bush. The timber furniture is beautiful, and there are several places to enjoy the surroundings while staying comfortable. We felt grounded here, and the slower pace was just right.
