King'S Row Holiday Apartments

We'd stayed here a few times before, enjoying the great views and easy access to the beach and shops. This time we spent a week in unit 7, which was very tatty, and the laundry smelled of sewage. I was very disappointed and won't be back.

We stayed midweek for our wedding anniversary, and I was pleasantly surprised by what we got for the price. The apartment was clean and well equipped, with clean rooms and amenities. The water views were just as quoted, and the shops were a quick walk away. Thanks so much, David. I'd highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a holiday stay. The laundry and bathroom had an overwhelming sewerage smell, and our unit hadn't been updated in many years. For anyone hoping for a restful vacation, this location isn't for you. The garbo, street sweeper, and beach sweeper came every day at 5am, then construction on a new block of units started at 7am and went on all day. We won't be back.

The location was great, and at least the towels and sheets were clean. Unit 6 is run down and badly needs refurbishment. The level 2 ocean view isn't worth paying extra for: it's mostly a building, with just a glimpse of ocean over the top. The kitchen cupboard doors won't close, the blinds don't work, the curtains are torn and marked, and the lounge had wet stains and smelled. The ensuite is very dated, with a spa you have to step into to shower, and the carpets are marked. There's no office, everything is handled by phone. Thanks to the lovely cleaner who came to see us, though there wasn't much she could do about a run down unit. At over $200 a night, don't waste your money.
