The place feels private while still being close to town, and the underfloor heating was a godsend. The views over kingston and the bay are gorgeous. There was wildlife everywhere, including a mum and baby, and we were lucky enough to see parrots and cockatoos.

The house has so many thoughtful touches that it feels special, not like just another holiday rental. Tasmania's distinctive woods are used throughout, giving the modern, luxurious place plenty of character. We had spectacular views and found it totally relaxing. It exceeded what we expected and made for a memorable stay. We'll definitely return.

We went in midwinter with six adults and two children under two, and none of us had a complaint. The house is beautifully decorated and suits the area perfectly. Every bedroom having its own ensuite saved us a lot of time. After days out, it warmed up quickly with the fireplace, heater and underfloor heating. Netflix and wifi were handy extras. There were breathtaking views and wildlife right outside the windows, and the hosts were easy to reach and very accommodating. When we booked, it almost seemed too good to be true, but it met and went beyond what we expected. We'd all highly recommend staying here.

There's no shortage of different things to do: taste fine wines and whiskeys, visit Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), go golfing, fish, hike, pick blueberries, and more. Every experience feels extraordinarily different.

The updated bathrooms couldn't make up for the dilapidated 70s brown brick house. It didn't live up to the promise of “luxury” accommodation.
