Ingenia Holidays Murray Bend

Murray Bend was a beautiful setting for my daughter and son-in-law’s country wedding. The venue was picturesque, clean, and very well looked after, and the day ran smoothly with everything organised. Katie, Tina, Steven and Kel were friendly from the moment my husband and I arrived two days before the wedding, and they went above and beyond with everything we asked for. Several guests mentioned how lovely the staff were. I’d highly recommend the venue and team for a wedding.

A big caravan park with plenty to offer, including a huge sandy beach, pools, and activities for kids. It’s a hidden gem about 3ks off the main road before tocumal. Great set up.

There’s a lot of potential here, but our camping experience was disappointing. The photos online look great, yet the free camping area was just a dirt hole while the onsite vans had lush green grass. Instead of the river access shown or mentioned, nearby was a pond-like water hole that attracted bugs. The amenities were supposedly cleaned twice a day, but on more than five occasions there was no soap or toilet paper, and poo had been left in the showers. At the private Murray bend access, people had left rows of gazebos set up after heading back to their campsite or onsite vans for the night, so we had to look around for somewhere else to swim. It was frustrating not being able to use many of the things shown off in the photos while camping.

The team were 10/10 friendly, with service and a smile. Getting down to the villas was a little confusing, though Apple Maps worked best on my iPhone and the team did their best to make the directions clear. It’s a good 5-10 mins off the main road, which made it feel like a real escape. I had a wonderful stay, with clean, tidy rooms, views through the trees to the river, and the sounds of nature all around.
