The hosts were thoughtful and very accommodating. The kitchen was fully stocked, the accommodation well appointed, and the views were lovely. With the beach right at the doorstep, you can hear the waves. I’ll definitely come back. In summer, there’s also a pool to enjoy.

It used to be a great place, but now it’s falling apart while the prices have shot up. The internal stairs are broken, there’s no air con and the rooms get stifling hot. The roof leaks from the upstairs bathroom, and neither the oven nor the BBQ works.

I stayed here in early January 2020, and it was atrocious. The place was so badly maintained that it seemed almost unfit to stay in, yet they were still leasing it out. There was dry rot in the wood and ceilings leaked. The bath was cracked and leaked through to the kitchen ceiling or down the wall. Stair treads three and nine were cracked or suspect, the front steps were rotten, and fly screens had holes in them, some as big as a fist. The ceiling fans made such a racket that we couldn’t use their highest setting. A shambles, and not recommended at all.

We stopped here for two nights on the way to the Goldcoast, and loved everything about it. The unit and the views were amazing. Highly recommend.

The shower head was broken and water kept dripping through the ceiling below. There was no aircon.
