We spent two blissful days here with my mother and granddaughter, exploring the countryside around town. It's a lovely little retreat just minutes from town, and it had all the little things we needed, even Vegemite for toast. Highly recommended.

We only managed one night here in May, though I can picture a relaxing spring or summer break in this quiet neighbourhood. The historic miners' cottage has two double bedrooms and is fully furnished, making it a good base for exploring southeastern Gippsland and Phillip Island. You could even stay here and visit Melbourne.

We were comfortable in this cosy cottage and loved the beautiful garden and well-stocked kitchen. Cris and Jen were so helpful, even treating us to breakfast, cookies and a bottle of wine. We loved staying here and will definitely return.
