We were upstairs in a bright, airy apartment right in the heart of Kyneton, with lots of places an easy walk away. It’s compact, but had everything we needed, including a lovely large bathroom and an adjustable shower, yay. The bed was quite soft for my preference, as I like a firm one, but I slept comfortably. Loved the little extras, real tea leaves, plunger coffee and a drink on arrival. The staff were helpful with tips on places to go and eateries. Definitely recommend, and I’d return.

The room was quiet and really cosy, with a comfy bed and pillows. Lovely, helpful staff too.

The location was a real plus, with a hallway giving most rooms direct access to the main street. It was quiet and clean, the king bed was excellent and very comfortable, and there’s parking on site. We also enjoyed the little complimentary sherry decanter, enough for a couple of nice drinks. Kyneton pub is virtually next door, with excellent food and a decent range of beers and wines. We were there for two nights recently, and the one bedroom “Boutique” downstairs apartment didn’t quite match its description. The kitchen and lounge were very small, the couch was uncomfortable, and the coffee table was ridiculous, only 150mm off the floor and basically useless. The lounge and bedroom TVs were very old and small by today’s standards. There was no Wi-Fi, which in 2024 felt surprising since it’s normally free in all kinds of accommodation around the world. The bathroom was a joke: two identical handbasins, no heating, a huge floor area and a pathetic wall mounted hand hold shower. It needs a wall heater like those in the lounge and bedroom to warm the space. The shower should have something like a rain shower head, and ideally the whole shower unit could be replaced with a bath or spa, which is what I’d normally expect in a “Boutique” apartment.

Right in the heart of Kyneton, this is a divine place to stay. The staff are so attentive and helpful, and go out of their way to make sure your stay is superb.
