We had everything we needed, and the place was extremely clean despite looking a bit run down. It made a good base for exploring Lakes Entrance, then relaxing in the evening. The beds could use some attention, though the electric blanket was lovely. It was quiet and cheap as chips in the off season, with nice privacy. Shops are just up the road, and the beach, foreshore and walking tracks are so close. It could use a little maintenance, but we had a lovely winter stay, snuggled under the air con.

Our room was ready when we arrived around 2.30, and there was lots of space. The layout started with a double bedroom, then a dining, lounge and kitchen area, followed by another bedroom with two single beds and a bunk bed. Beyond that were the bathroom and toilet, plus a door out to the carport, where there were two chairs and a small table. The pool and little kids’ playground were nearby. There’s undercover parking, but the space is tight, so you’d need a small vehicle.

We found an email address and got a quick reply, and communication has been good. We’d already booked and were happy with the price for this time of year, though we’ve also messaged through the booking site to see if that works. The place was clean and tidy, with a nice retro look and nothing wrong with it. The shower went hot and cold, and the hot tap fell off, but those were minor issues. We’ll be back if we make it again. Depending on how it goes, we’ll raise the rating or maybe lower it.

It was handy being close to town, and the undercover parking was good. The rest was disappointing for what we paid. Our room was mostly clean, but there were signs of mould, the bed was like a rock, and the shower kept turning cold. A regular towel would have been much better than the giant wipe. The two rules about running out of coffee or toilet paper and the $30 charge for not doing the dishes felt ridiculous. It’s old fashioned and could use renovation. Definitely not worth the price.

The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the refrigerator held everything we put in it. The TV had 7flix, but no Netflix. Privacy at house 1 wasn’t great with the neighbours in house 5. The people staying in house 1 told me that someone at house 5 flashed an object of light into house 1. I was told it happened between 21/11/2025 and 22/11/2025.
