Lucy was super friendly and welcoming, and her customer service was genuinely great. The place was very clean too. Those were the bright spots. The accommodation itself was very dated and looked nothing like the listing. The beds were worn and lumpy, nearly filling the room and leaving hardly any space to move. Smoke detectors were wrapped in glad wrap and not working, which felt concerning with the dated appliances. There was no parking available because the camping ground had expanded into the area outside our room. Several family-sized tents were right below our window, so we heard constant talking and a baby crying. For what we paid, it was really disappointing. They didn't provide basic things like toilet paper or hand wash, so we had to buy them separately. If the room had lived up to Lucy's hospitality and the advertising, this could've been a very different experience. It was expensive for what we got, or really, what we didn't get. NB: The photo was taken from the doorway. There wasn't enough room to stand beside the bed and take it.

We stayed at the caravan park twice, for two nights each time, and both stays were pleasant. The cabins were clean and quiet, with the amenities I needed and comfortable beds. The park itself looked tidy and is close to town and the shops. Lucy was lovely to chat with and very helpful about my late arrivals on both occasions. I'd be happy to stay here again.

We were five family members and a pet, staying for two nights. The little house was nice, but a few basics were missing: no chopping board, just two rolls of paper, and the stove lighter was empty. It was an okay stay overall.

Good value, and the cabins had everything we needed. It's far from the town centre, which made the evenings really quiet. The only downside was that the air con was in the living room and not in every room.

The site was clean and tidy, and they welcome dogs, which was a bonus. Our cabin was lovely and quiet, and the cleaning was done really well. A few small maintenance jobs would make things even better for the cleaner. It's about a 20-minute walk from the centre of Lakes, or around five minutes to the foreshore path into town.
