Albury Classic Motor Inn

We've saved this as our go-to place when visiting family in South Australia. It feels safe, is exceptionally clean, and welcomes both families and pets. We're grateful for such a lovely stay.

We'd stay again. The managers even put out buckets and Windscreen brushes so you can clean your Windscreen before getting back on the road. Our Family room suited us well, with a small Kitchenette and a separate bath in the newly renovated bathroom.

Two enthusiastic drunks provided the late-night entertainment with a 1am “work meeting” outside our room. Even so, we enjoyed the stay and would return. The Classic Motel in Albury was tidy, clean, dog friendly, and handy to town, with all the essentials. Finding a place for the dog to take care of business was the tricky part and meant driving a bit.

The room we got was dirty and downstairs, with a filthy bathtub right next to the bed, even though we'd booked an upstairs queen. When I raised it, the guy at the desk, Ravi, argued that I should be grateful because he'd technically given us the more expensive room. I asked for a refund, but he was rude, told us to leave straight away, and refused to refund us. We ended up calling the cops in the middle of the night over his disgusting harassment. The service and room were horrendous. I'd give zero stars if I could. If they can't manage basic human decency, I hope this place gets shut down.
