Possums Apartments

We were very happy in Studio 3. I'd read some poor reviews and worried, but the place was clean and spacious. The owners' communication was useful and appreciated. There were no cleanliness issues for us, and we knew food wasn't included since it's not a B&B. The driveway didn't cause us trouble either. Studios 1 and 2 have a somewhat steep drive, and getting out of Studio 3's parking bay in reverse might be tricky if you're not used to it. Reverse parking is a good idea there. A large 4WD might find it more difficult, but we had my wife's average-sized hatchback and managed fine. For mobility needs, Studio 2 may be the best option, though my wife uses a walker and managed the path from Studio 3's parking bay. We had neighbours for one night, but only heard a little muffled noise after I turned the TV down. My wife didn't notice them at all. Our king bed wasn't two singles pushed together, and I don't see a problem with that setup anyway, since that's basically what a king is. The setting was pleasant, with great views, a BBQ, and a little deck with a small outdoor setting. My wife especially loved the spa. It might not be high-end, but we had no complaints. We'd happily stay again.

I booked the honeymoon suite for my daughter and her new husband on their wedding night, and they absolutely loved it. The owners were lovely and left them a bottle of champagne and biscuits. They also kindly let me leave her car there early and pick up the key. Highly recommend staying here.

What a view! I can't remember the last time I saw anything like it. The owners are so accommodating and willing to help with anything. Love Hobart. We're lucky to be here.

I got the booking wrong and assumed this was self-catering, so that was my mistake. It would suit a weekend in Hobart well as a quiet hideaway, with lovely views and a nice room and bathroom. Nola and Don were kind hosts, always ready to help without getting in our way. The room was cosy for two nights, but we had booked seven. They kindly offered a refund if we could find another place. Hobart was extremely busy, though, so we stayed and made the best of it. Nola and Don lent us an air fryer, which worked well. I'd recommend Possums for a one or two night visit. It all worked out okay, though the area behind and underneath the furniture could probably use a clean.
