Springmead B&B

The bay windows looked out over the Coxs River Valley, and the room was clean, cosy and full of history. I found out from the living room mantels that this is a historic homestead and pioneer horse stud. Marjory and Greg welcomed me warmly and showed me the BBQ and outdoor dining area. I'd arrived with a freshly caught fish and a bottle of wine, and was greeted by lovely views. Breakfast the next morning was satisfying, with Marjory's freshly ground coffee, homemade yogurt and muffins. I left with a fond new memory of a lovely place to stay, just two hours from Sydney.

We loved waking up to the breakfast, especially the croissants and muffins. There were cereals, homemade yogurt, tea and coffee too. Marjory and Greg, along with their furry sidekicks, were wonderful hosts and shared plenty of good local food and hiking suggestions. Our room was tidy, clean and private, with mountain views. The separate bathroom was spacious and everything was well kept. Springmead B&B made a lovely couples' getaway, and we'll make it our first choice next time we're in the area.

We came to get a little rest from the busy city, but ended up wishing we could stay longer. The welcome was so warm, and I loved being greeted by the cats. The house is full of history and legacy, with a great walking trail and wonderful views of the mountains and animals. Such a special place. Thanks again, and see you next time.

What a peaceful, relaxing spot. Marjorie was a genuinely kind and down-to-earth host. Our one regret is that we didn't get to spend more time with the cats.
