I travel for work and have stayed in countless motels since moving to Australia two years ago. Black Gold has been the best by far. The bed was the most comfortable I've had on the road, and the room was exceptionally clean and well kept, with no odd smells. The staff were warm and courteous, and the restaurant's freshly cooked food and drinks were delicious, with plenty of choice. I've been fortunate to stay in some excellent hotels over the years, and Black Gold puts many of them to shame. The care the owners put into the business shows in every part of the stay. Thanks to the owners and staff for making it so comfortable. I'd recommend it without hesitation and plan to come back for a private trip.

The Peacock cabin was spotless, with really comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and a large, clean bathroom. I liked being able to use my phone as the room key, or enter the code they sent when the cabin was ready early. The owners have got this place right. I'll stay here again when I'm up at the Wang.

We stayed overnight for the BMW 60th anniversary dinner and found a lovely little place. Parking was plentiful, and the buffet breakfast was really good. Our bright, clean, modern room had a kitchenette, microwave and USB PowerPoints, and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant food was excellent, as was the service.

The family runs a great business, and I'd recommend staying here if you need accommodation in the area. The hotel is finished to a high standard, the grounds are kept in excellent condition, and the restaurant food is consistently good quality. It isn't cheap, though. I've always had a fantastic experience.

The executive suit is a good size and quality, and the staff have all been very helpful. It's well stocked with cups, glasses, plates and the rest. The Angus room's lounge could be more comfortable, but it's only a small thing.
