The food was a pleasant surprise. I had grilled barramundi with steamed vegetables, and both were really good. My friend thought his chicken schnitzel was one of the best he’d tried. The prices were reasonable and the staff were lovely. I didn’t stay overnight, but I’d come back to eat.

The building could use some care, and I hope it gets it when economic conditions allow. Still, the location is great, the staff are helpful, and I’ve enjoyed my stays here over the years. When I’m in Lithgow, this remains my first choice.

We didn’t stay there, but had a great meal. The bartender was friendly, service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. I had pepperoni pizza, while others in our group ordered a cheeseburger and fish and chips. Everyone was happy with their food.

The staff who served us were pleasant and helpful, and our lunch was fresh. I had the Chicken Schnitzel Burger and my brother chose the Aussie Burger. The pub itself is quite run down and overdue for refurbishment, so that was the disappointing part of the visit. We didn’t use the accommodation, and this review doesn’t cover it.

The service was awful. The place smelled like a dump, and the Asian bartender was very rude. I asked him politely for a drink, and he said he couldn’t be bothered. I had to wait for someone else.
