Great Ocean Road Cottages

The ocean views and surrounding nature were a lovely bonus, and the cottages are conveniently tucked just behind the grocery store, close to all the amenities. We spent two wonderful nights here with the family in one of the cute little cottages. Paki was a great host, a lovely guy who was happy to help however he could. The cottage was exceptionally clean, which mattered to me because I’m always hoping I won’t have to tiptoe around or clean before I can settle in. We’ll definitely come back.

The kitchen had everything we needed, and Paki, the manager, was very helpful. We were also able to check out late the next day, and having the supermarket just down the hill was really handy. Our cottage was a lovely little place among the trees. There were two single beds in the loft and a double downstairs, which worked fine for us and felt like an adventure. The only drawback was that the cottage could use a fresh coat of paint. I’d recommend it if you like quaint cottages.

The location was superb, with easy access to all the important places, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Check-in was a breeze. A few things made the stay less comfortable, though. Some long-term guests were very noisy and seemed to have made the hostel their home. They also filled the fridges, leaving no room to store my own food. Aside from those issues, it’s a great location.

The cottages are spacious and clean, and make a much more interesting, unique place to stay than a hotel. Paki, the manager, is kind, honest and fair, and went out of his way for us. Such a cool place. I’d happily stay again.
