The kids loved the water park and pool, and breakfast turned out to be a real highlight. The buffet had fresh, tasty staples, crisp bacon, pancakes, congee and a great chia pudding, plus good coffee and made-to-order dishes like eggs, eggs Benedict with ham, chilli jam eggs and smashed avo with egg. We booked a modern, clean three-bedroom villa for two families, and both my husband and I had the best sleep we'd had in ages. The beds and pillows were fantastic. We're already talking about coming back. Couples travelling without kids have plenty to enjoy too, including golf, the spa and an adults-only pool.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and the food really stood out. We loved the buffet breakfast, and both the hotel meals and room service were top notch. We had a great family holiday here with friends. It worked well for adults and families, and we left looking forward to another visit.

The villas could use some attention. Ours felt old, with mould in the bathroom, water damage around the windows and tiles, and below-par furnishings. The rest of the resort was very good, especially the pool and spa area, and there was quite a bit to do on site, including a brewery and golf course. The food was nice in all the restaurants and through room service, and the staff were friendly. I can see it working well for company functions.

Staff were friendly, and the location is convenient. That same convenience draws Sydney and nearby families, tourists and golfers on weekends, so it gets packed. It can feel like a theme park, buffet feeding zoo and parking battle all at once. The rooms are starting to feel dated and need freshening up. If you're after a quiet weekend away, there are better wine country options.

I've stayed here a few times over the last ten years, and unfortunately it's gone downhill. On my last two visits the rooms felt dated and weren't clean enough. They seem very strict about cleaning, too: you have to pay to have your room tidied. I've never come across that anywhere else. I even had to negotiate for a couple of fresh towels, and they're really tight about late checkout. Maybe it's cost cutting, but it used to have a much nicer feel. I'm being frank in the hope the feedback is useful.
