The room was dark and the bed so comfy that we had one of the best sleeps we've had in ages. Black Forest Motel is wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by nature, and it felt like a proper escape. We loved our night there and would stay again if we're back in the area.

The camp kitchen was a real bonus and seemed popular with the guests. It's a nice place to cook your own meal and chat with other people staying there. The place is really well managed. We'll be back.

John was friendly and very accommodating, including letting our pet stay with us for the night. We were just passing through and stayed one night over Easter weekend. The kids found mini Easter eggs on their beds, a nice touch. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable. Thanks so much!

Good bed, and a continental breakfast you can make yourself in the kitchen. Very good.

For $195, I expected better. The rooms are very basic, with only one desk chair, so the bed was the only place for us to sit or eat together. Our first room, given to us after hours, was dirty: the bed looked slept in, cups were dirty, towels were wet and the bins hadn't been emptied. Management didn't seem to care or even check the room when we reported it, just told us to move. The second room wasn't stocked properly either, and had an opened milk carton in the fridge. Management blamed the evening on the cleaning staff and took no accountability. Our stay at Black Forest Motel was very disappointing. I'd recommend staying elsewhere.
