We stayed for three nights as two retired couples, using both bungalows, which sit among a few ghost gum trees in a quiet suburban setting just under 1 km from Lyndoch village. They're set back behind another residential property. When we arrived at Barossa Country Cottages in late Oct 2025, the exterior upkeep was disappointing and gave us a bit of a shock. Inside, the cottages were tidy and clean, though only just adequate for us. We sent our feedback to the owners, who live elsewhere. They apologized promptly, offered a little compensation, and said their usual caretakers had been away and that they'd take immediate steps to improve things. I hope they follow through. Sadly, our stay was disappointing: during our three-week South Australia road trip, we had some lovely, professionally presented and well-prepared accommodation, several places cheaper than B.C.C. If we return to Lyndoch, we'd hesitate to book here again.

The cottage was so comfortable, clean, and tidy, and the host had clearly thought of everything. Wineries and restaurants were all close by. We had an amazing stay, and if we're back in the Barossa, we'll definitely stay here again.

It's a very quiet town, with wineries nearby, plus craft beer, bike tracks, some hotels, and a decent butcher.

We had a fantastic, peaceful break in beautiful Lyndoch. The cottages are a seven-minute walk from the town centre, where there are two bars and some lovely restaurants and cafes. Kies Family Winery is another ten minutes on foot, and it's one of the best in the Barossa. Barossa Country Cottages come highly recommended. Our cottage was clean and lovely, the messages were clear, and the check-in instructions were easy to follow. We'll definitely be back.
