We found the location lovely, and the service exceptionally friendly. Guests and non-guests can easily use the EV charging station. Jeremy was super friendly, knowledgeable, and keen to expand EV charging capacity around Maclean, Yamba and nearby areas. It’s a highly valuable service for visitors and people travelling through. Highly recommend.

The people were wonderful and very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. It’s a great hotel in an easy-to-find spot. I hadn’t come across an EV charging station like this before, so it was a welcome surprise. Very forward thinking.

We arrived around 7.00pm during a storm, when the power was out across Maclean. The Waterview had battery backup, so we still had full power, and the owners cooked us an extra dinner because all the food outlets were closed. Outstanding service. I can’t thank them enough or recommend them highly enough.

The manager was warm and friendly, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and bigger than I expected. There was plenty of hot water too. Maclean is a charming little town, and the location is good, not far from Yamba. After chatting with the manager, I found out the motel generates more solar power than it uses. You can charge an EV there, though I’m not sure what it costs. I’ll stop by again on my next drive from Queensland to Sydney, hopefully in my new EV! 🤞

A great road trip charging stop. The owner was so accommodating, and the location across from the river is beautiful. Charging was super fast at a flat rate, and the people were lovely. I recommend adding it to your route if you need to charge your EV.
