Bridle Guesthouse

The one thing I wish we'd known was that there might be a communal BBQ on site. I read the room booklet and didn't see it mentioned, only found out by reading reviews afterwards. The room did have a small kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, but no cooking facilities, so that was my only criticism. We stayed in the Montana room, which had a lovely view over the horse paddock and its very friendly horse. The other side of the building looked out to rolling hills. The rooms are in one building, a bit like Tetris, but the setup didn't bother us. Helen gave us a delicious breakfast basket, thank you! The country wood decor was nice, the bathroom was huge, and the bed was very soft, like a cloud. Best pillows I've ever had. There's no AC, just a ceiling fan, but even in early January it was fine and Maleny stayed lovely and cool. One small awkward thing, when you're on the loo, people on the next room's patio are literally about ten centimetres away. A little intimate! Highly recommend.

We had a really pleasant weekend in the Lynleigh B&B room. It stayed comfortable without any heating, thanks to the good insulation and warm bed. The complimentary breakfast basket was just right. Bridle Guest House also has lovely green hills and horses around it, and Helen was a friendly host. Maleny centre is only a short, handy drive away.

Helen made us feel very welcome, and there was a lovely breakfast hamper waiting when we arrived. The room was spotless and the scenery was breathtaking. After our fourth night, she kindly upgraded us to the Lynleigh Room at no extra cost, giving us much more space, which was fabulous. My husband and I stayed at Bridle Guesthouse for nine nights and would both recommend it. I can't speak highly enough of Helen.

We ended up staying in because the atmosphere was so quiet and relaxing. Sunset on the verandah outside our room was beautiful and peaceful, with just nature and the horses making the occasional sound. The pictures don't quite capture the place. Our room was a good size for a couple, with a lovely modern bathroom. Management were helpful online before we arrived and throughout the stay. They left muesli, bananas, muffins and milk in a small breakfast basket, plus complimentary tea and coffee, a kettle, microwave and cutlery. Five stars from us.
