BIG4 Manning Point Holiday Park

The short bush walk to the beachfront and river mouth was a lovely start to the morning, and the bowling club and riverfront cafe are nearby too. The cafe does excellent scones. We had a comfortable cabin, and the code entry and map made arriving after hours straightforward. After a campfire with friends, we cooked in the well-equipped communal kitchen. The pool looked beautiful, though it wasn’t warm enough for a swim during our visit. We slept peacefully in a comfortable bed with good sheets and towels. We loved our stay at Manning Point Holiday Park, an easy drive from the Taree turnoff on the M1.

A quiet place to pause on my motorbike trip from Sydney to the Gold Coast. My cabin was comfortable, nicely equipped, and had a pleasant verandah. Checking in after hours was simple, and the customer service was great. Just a brief stay, but a lovely one.

The road from the highway onto Mitchell Island had quite a few potholes, though plenty of sections had been freshly repaired. Once we arrived, our request to stay away from the main crowd was happily sorted, and my emails got quick replies. We were trying out our new camper and bringing our dogs away for the first time together, and it turned out to be a great idea. Even in winter the days were warm enough to explore and properly unwind, and falling asleep to the ocean was glorious. The clean amenities and good value made the long weekend at Manning Point even better.

The pool was incredible, the facilities were clean, and having the beach right there was bliss. Tayla and her partner Kai, the park managers, went above and beyond when we booked and made the stay feel special with their care, support, and friendly service. Thanks as well to Tina and all the staff at manning point for everything. We’ve stayed at lots of BIG4 parks, and I’d recommend this one to anyone. See you next year 💕❤️
