Mansfield Lakeside

The managers were friendly and accommodating, and the place was very quiet. Our site was large, with plenty of trees, though they were being pruned during our stay. The mountains all around were lovely, and there were views of the lake, although it was completely dry at that time of year. Mansfield is only seven minutes away.

We had a comfortable, clean cabin that was conveniently placed for all the facilities. I volunteered to play drums at a charity fundraiser there, which brought several hundred of us to the venue. The service was excellent and everyone was very helpful. I had a few requests connected with the event, and they went out of their way to help. This young family is working hard to build its business and get things right. As experienced travellers, we can say they did, and they also helped us support the fundraiser. A great spot for stopping and unwinding, with beautiful scenery. I had an awesome time camping there. Lake Eildons water level was very low, but I'll be back when it's high. You can count on it.
