The gardens were beautiful and gave the place a peaceful feel. It’s also well located, near Margaret River’s main strip and local wineries. We had a lovely, relaxing three-night getaway for our 40th wedding anniversary just before Christmas. Our king suite was clean and spacious, with a bath. Breakfast was excellent, and there was homely afternoon tea each day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing break.

We had the Champagne Room and it took our stay to another level. Special thanks to Allie and Megan for their extra care, and all the staff deserve recognition for excellent service. The rooms are luxurious, and the grounds are beautiful, with BBQ facilities, a pool and tennis courts. We stayed at the Manor from 31st Dec to 7th Jan 2026, and it was one of our best holidays. For a peaceful break from the rat race, this is the place. It’s only a quick three-minute drive from the main town, so everything is close without the constant movement of people. If Margaret River is your destination, there’s no better accommodation than Basildene Manor.

The scones deserve a special mention, they’re the best. Basildene Manor has excellent accommodation and service in a superb setting that feels like an English estate, with gardens and a fountain. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the BBQ facilities are great.

Having freshly prepared breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the expansive gardens was a delight. From there, we could glimpse the tennis court, pool and duck pond, along with sweeping lawns, colourful garden beds and majestic trees. Basildene Manor is a unique place to stay on the edge of Margaret River. Completed in 1912, it has been lovingly restored. The friendly staff were happy to help and gave us excellent suggestions for dining and sightseeing. We’d love to visit again.

Peaceful gardens and spacious, elegant apartments made our recent stay at Grand Mercure Basildene Manor – Accor Vacation Club Apartments feel like pure Margaret River magic. It’s just minutes from wineries and the coast, a great base for exploring WA. If you’re planning a trip, this stay really elevates the experience.
